Lib Tech~ Innovated the “new” snowboard by creating Banana Tech & Magna-Traction. Hand crafted in my home state of Washington, this company has designed their way into being the most progressive snowboarding company today. I’ve witnessed my whole crews snowboarding improve after riding a Lib Tech so its worth spreading the word on. The most impressive board I saw last year was the Cygnus X1, this thing looked like it could take on the terminator. Check em out:
Magna-Traction/MTX: Serrated edges let you cut into the snow like a knife giving you more edgehold & control than ever before. “Its like having cleats on in wet grass.”
Banana Technology/BTX: Naturally pre-bent rockered mid-section gives you carving & ice biting edgehold. Firm tip & tails add pop, stability and float easily in powder.
Jones Snowboards ~ New for 2010! Jeremy Jones big mountain legend has created his own innovative line of snowboards coming out this year. Last years Jones Experience was one of the most innovative boards on the market using ground breaking new technology combining superior flexible material and with Lib Techs Magna-Traction. Really looking forward to seeing the new Jones Snowboards, we can expect great innovation & performance improvements in future snowboards for Jones. I hope to be seeing a board more focused on steep terrain and steep split-boarding access.
Protect Our Winters ~ Protect Our Winters is a non-profit organization dedicated to making a positive difference in the snow industry to help protect and save our winters. Started in 2007 by professional snowboarder Jeremy Jones who, during winter trips, witnessed first-hand the impact of climate change on our mountains. You can’t go very far on this planter and not notice things are changing every year. POW is here to help keep us stoked for freshies!
Spacecraft~ Hand made hats that are inspired for snowboard warmth & creativity. This company influenced the way I think of snowboarding, “the spacecraft”, the powder maker, snow cat, big mountain lines, smooth turns on freshies! Not sure how they did it, but they’ve influenced a feeling of powder snowboarding in my mind. Plus my chin strap beanies keeps my head so warm, stoked on the innovative ideas & creative stickers.
Nativ Boardriding ~ Surf Mountains! Innovation crossed with blast from the past board design, introducing Nativ snow surfin’ snowboard! Short kick tail with a powder nose offers a back foot powder like stance for a fun new riding experience.! We’ll be making some snow videos with these new boards this season.
